Competition entry, Stockholm, 2013. The purpose of the contest was to produce proposals for the design of a prototype of a pavilion building that can be used in different types of urban environments and modified in accordance with needs and circumstances.
Pentagon is a pavilion with a clear and universal character. Departing in a volume with the pentagon as a base, endless possibilities to shape everything from the smallest pavilion of 13m2 to infinitely large units are created. Under a brass coated facades and roof a wooden frame is hidden. Brass is a virtually maintenance free material that is durable and ages beautifully. The noble character of the material allows the pavilion to interact with the environment in various city environments. The pentagon, with its sloping roof volumes, creates a playful silhouette reminiscent of an imaginary city.
