Nu har vi flyttat till Danviksstationen, Alsn\u00f6gatan 12, i kvarteret Nektarinen p\u00e5 S\u00f6dermalm. Huset var fr\u00e5n b\u00f6rjan en elstation som togs i bruk 1939. Husets ritningar \u00e4r daterade 1932 signerade av Gillis Hansson. Den egentliga arkitekten \u00e4r dock sannolikt Einar Eigert. <\/p>\n

Elstationen ingick i ett n\u00e4t av elstationer som allt efter det v\u00e4xande elektricitetsbehovet byggdes ut i Stockholm. Byggnaden har ett s\u00e4rskilt kulturhistoriskt v\u00e4rde som en del av stadens elf\u00f6rs\u00f6rjning men har ocks\u00e5 ett arkitektoniskt egenv\u00e4rde. Byggnadens arkitektur utgick helt ifr\u00e5n dess funktion. Stora slutna murytor ger en signal om byggnadens ursprungliga anv\u00e4ndning. Gatufasaden och gavelfasaderna \u00e4r mycket medvetet utformade med murytor av gult tegel, mindre partier med f\u00f6nsterband samt en kraftig sockel. <\/p>\n

Vid ombyggnaden fr\u00e5n elstation till kontorsbyggnad togs stor h\u00e4nsyn till byggnadens arkitektur i gatu- och gavelfasader. De karakteristiska och tekniskt intressanta st\u00e5lf\u00f6nstren har reparerats och i n\u00e5gra fall rekonstruerats och det karakteristiska taket har noga reparerats. Byggnaden nominerades 2001 till ROT-priset av Stockholms Byggm\u00e4starf\u00f6rening. <\/p>\n
