Rahel Belatchew, chefsarkitekt, VD och grundare.
Rahel Belatchew, MSA/SAR, DESA, chefsarkitekt och grundare av Belatchew Arkitekter, har en magisterexamen i arkitektur från Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture i Paris, och har verkat som arkitekt i Paris, Luxemburg, Tokyo och Stockholm. Vid sidan om Belatchew Arkitekter driver även Rahel den experimentella studion Belatchew Labs i syfte att finna lösningar på stadens utmaningar genom metodutveckling, digitalisering och hållbar arkitektur. Rahel Belatchew bedriver även fastighetsutveckling för att förverkliga projekt med höga arkitektoniska kvaliteter i egen regi.
Rahel Belatchew har utsetts till Årets arkitekt och Belatchew Arkitekter och har fått flera utmärkelser, bland annat Architecture Masterprize, World Architecture News Awards, Architectural Review MIPIM Future Project Award, Smart Living Challenge och det svenska nationella designpriset Design S.
Belatchews verk har visats på flera museer och Rahel har representerat Sverige på arkitektoniska evenemang runt om i världen, som London, Reykjavik och Mumbai. Rahel har deltagit i juryer för flera prestigefyllda utmärkelser i Sverige och internationellt, såsom World Architecture Festival, Les Totems Wood Award i Frankrike, den lettiska träarkitekturprisert Award, det svenska Träpriset, Sveriges Arkitekters Bostadspris, Årets Rum samt den internationella arkitekttävlingen Urban Adaptation.
Rahel Belatchew deltar i egenskap av arkitekt återkommande i flera TV- och radioprogram. Belatchew föreläser även återkommande om arkitektur och stadsbyggnad i Sverige och utomlands. 2019 publicerades boken ”Attitude as Style” om Rahel Belatchew och Belatchew Arkitekter.
