Land Allocation Competition Salem, Stockholm

Belatchew Arkitekter has, on behalf of Sveafastigheter Utveckling, designed the winning proposal for the land allocation competition for Södra Hallsta, Salem, outside Stockholm.

The winnning proposal is based on ecological as well as social sustainability , in a natural neighborhood with urban influences. A clear and easy-to-understand structure is created using a tree-lined walkway that runs through the area. In the periphery of the street there are varied types of buildings adapted to the environment they encounter; urban houses and small-scale townhouses towards the natural area.
