Belatchew Arkitekter part of Swedish-British architectural exchange

In connection to the visit of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this month, ArkDes announced a collaborative project between the British Embassy in Sweden and ArkDes—Housing Design Exchange: London/Stockholm.

During the project architects from London and Stockholm will come together for an exchange of knowledge and ideas related to the challenge of housing design, development, and provision.

The participating offices from London are London Mae Architects, Lynch Architects and vPPR Architects. The offices from Stockholm are Belatchew Arkitekter, Jägnefält Milton and Kod Arkitekter.

In a press release from ArkDes, Kieran Long, Director ArkDes, and David Cairns, British Ambassador to Sweden commented on the initiative:

– London and Stockholm share profound challenges in housing their growing populations. The Housing Design Exchange will create opportunities to network, share knowledge and develop a dialogue about designing cities in the UK and Sweden, says Kieran Long, Director ArkDes.
